About
Wetin dey happen for your area? Now you fit know.
WetinDey is an app that tells you what is happening around you today: whether there is light, which station has fuel and what it charges, which road is blocked, what things cost at the market. The answers come from people who are there.
Why it exists
Every day, people in Nigerian cities ask the same questions. Is there light? Is there fuel, and how much? Is that road free? The answers usually live in group chats, phone calls and guesswork. WetinDey puts them in one place and keeps them fresh.
How it works
1. See
Open the app and see your area: light, fuel, roads, prices and news.
2. Share
Tell people what you see in a few taps. Prices are photographed inside the app.
3. Confirm
Others confirm what is true. Useful, honest reports earn points.
Where we are
WetinDey starts in Warri, Uvwie & Udu in Delta State. Anywhere else in Nigeria you can look at your area and report what you see, but expect fewer reports at first. We switch on more cities one by one.
What we stand for
- Truth first. Report only what you have seen yourself, as it is now. See the community rules.
- Light on data. A data saver, small photos, and reports that wait on your phone until you have signal.
- Your privacy. Nothing is sold and nothing is shared for advertising. Your location is used only while you use the app. Read the privacy policy.
- Pidgin first. In Pidgin or English, your choice.
